there has been three inches of rain dumped on island in the past hour. they are expecting an overall rise in the rain totals for the month of 12 inches by monday (4 more hours). sheesh. flash flooding still expected until 6am tomorrow.

the thing is, that even with the closest point of approach being now, the damaging winds won't stop until sometime late tomorrow. we're stuck in the house until then.
